Hi Folks,

Well, let me tell you a little story. Back in 1987, just after my lovely wife Judy and I tied the knot, we stumbled upon a charming old house in Loudonville. This place, built way back in 1896, had been left to languish for years, but we rolled up our sleeves and got to work, breathing new life into it. It became not just our cozy home, but also a hub for the Arts in our community. The Stonewall Gallery wasn’t just where we lived; it was a welcoming spot for folks to come tour, take art classes, and admire my studio and artwork.

As the years flew by, the home we lovingly cared for started to feel like a bit too much to handle. So, we made the decision to move into a retirement community in Sugarcreek, Ohio. We packed up all our furniture, along with a treasure trove of paintings, drawings, woodcarvings, and sculptures that hadn’t found new homes yet. Let me tell you, what once fit comfortably in 3000 square feet now felt a tad squished in our 1200 square feet here in Sugarcreek!

So here I am in Sugarcreek, surrounded by all this beautiful artwork but lacking the space to stretch out. That got me thinking: why not start a blog to chat about Art, maybe have some classes and a website to share it with the world? Maybe even sell some art in the process.

I am trying to keep this “Follow the Light” blog out of the clutches of the “Spam Monsters” and allow “Artists and Art Minded Folks” a place of our own. With that in mind, give me your Name and Email address in the “Subscription Form” below and we will try to keep it to ourselves.

Remember This Painting From Yesterday?

The Overland Trail (also known as the Overland Stage Line) was a stagecoach and wagon trail in the American West during the 19th century. While portions of the route had been used by explorers and trappers since the 1820s, the Overland Trail was most heavily used in the 1860s as a route alternative to the Oregon, California, and Mormon trails through central Wyoming. The Overland Trail was famously used…
